During my 3 6 5 Instant Photo Project a girl from Canada messaged me on Instagram asking if she could purchase one of my cameras that I had painted. She told me they were difficult to find and can be rather expensive if found. After thinking about it I came up with an idea. Instead of selling her a camera, I would give it to her in trade for some photographs of her life or anything she thought was interesting. I purchased a majority of these cameras for less than $5 and I have a real objection to price gouging people for these cameras. Polaroid made millions of these cameras, so I decided I would give all of mine away.
To date I have sent out over 50 cameras for free in exchange for a few photographs. I have sent cameras all over this planet, ranging from Pennsylvania, Tennessee, New York, Switzerland, Florida, Louisiana, California, Oregon, Ohio, Australia, England, Texas, Minnesota, Sweden, and of course Canada. I have given cameras to complete strangers for no other reason than to be awesome and for a brief moment see what they see. I cannot show the amount of gratitude I have for each of these humans for their willingness to participate.
